Michael Milesi is a highly talented race car driver based in Malibu, California. He reached out to DRONESURF for sponsorship on his next race and for the first episode of his show HOTLAPS.
DRONESURF agreed to support Michael on his first show and delivered footage of him at the BMW Performance Center in Thermal, California. The race was thrilling and the show is heading for success.

Engineering challenge
This project ran on two very different airframes for two very different jobs. The Inspire platform carried the cinema payload for wide, stabilized, high-dynamic-range coverage. Chasing a performance car around a circuit is a different problem: it demands an airframe with the thrust-to-weight ratio and top speed to hold a moving subject through corners.
No off-the-shelf aircraft did that well enough, so DRONESURF flew custom-built FPV drones alongside the cinema rig — built for the shot rather than bought for it.
