Color Music — Gina Cat Live Set
Air and ground coverage of a cliffside live electronic set streamed worldwide.
DJ and producer Gina Cat of Color Music contacted DRONESURF for her first live performance, set on the cliffs of Malibu, California. Her aim was to emulate the very successful Cercle live performances, in which DJs showcase their talent to a worldwide streaming audience.
DRONESURF produced both ground and air coverage of the event for the live set, which ran for over an hour.

Engineering challenge
The team had to coordinate multiple cameras and performers so that no unit appeared in another's frame — a choreography problem solved across air and ground crews operating simultaneously, for over an hour, with no opportunity to reset.
Cliffside flying adds terrain-induced turbulence and updraft to the envelope, so aircraft positioning had to account for air behaviour as well as sightlines.
